SINGAPORE, 6th Jan 2020 – Tenderbest Makcik Tuckshop is a modern-day cafe that serves a variety of nostalgic tuckshop food that is familiar and delicious. A concept from Tenderfresh Group where guest can relax, have a good time and enjoy good food.
It’s extensive menu features its it’s Signature Crispy Fried Chicken that uses only fresh chicken marinated in the secret spice for 24 hours, the popular Asian Fusion Pasta, as well as classic tuckshop fares like chicken chops, burgers, fish & chips, sirloin steak and nostalgic beverage like fake bird's nest water to specialty coffee like it’s best selling Smoky Iced Caramel Macchiato.
There will be some new creations like Lychee Nojito for non coffee drinkers but still wants to 'lepak' in the cozy ambience and quirky creations like Fried Chicken Caramel Aisi-Kreme that uses chicken stock, herbs, spices, vanilla and sugar to create the sauce, drizzled over vanilla ice cream and served with a crispy chicken skin.
“It's been one year since the opening of our first Makcik Tuckshop and we were grateful that the concept had been well received by the community,” said Jimmy Soh, Founder and Managing Director of Tenderfresh Group. “We’ve had requests over the past year to open another Makcik Tuckshop and we are thrilled to find the perfect spot with an courtyard at Jalan Kayu. We hope to create a space for people to relax or recharge, to share ideas and conversation, and to reconnect without worrying on the price of the meal. We’re excited to bring that to a well-established neighbourhoods.”
A new dish, Super Feesh & Chic was created exclusively for the Jalan Kayu opening, using their popular Crispy Chicken Skin instead of fries (yeah!), hand-battered cherry snapper with it’s famous curry tartar sauce, potato salad & signature coleslaw. It’s now offering at a special price of $12.90nett.
